The plaque is one of a series commemorating various units who served in Darwin during World War II. They are set at ground level next to a fence overlooking the harbour and in close proximity to Darwin Cenotaph.

To the memory of all those who flew or serviced the Liberators
of the above units this plaque is dedicated

Especially honoured are the 180 who gave their lives carrying the battle
deep into enemy territory from bases in the Darwin area
