The memorial is a multi-faceted polished granite obelisk, situated in a small triangular green hemmed in by roads. The monument faces north west to open pastures on the far side of main south road. This face bears the first gilt inscription dedicated to local soldiers killed in the Great War. On the south western face there is a gilt inscription to a local soldier killed in the Second World War.
