The memorial is a white marble statue of a World War I soldier standing easy and holding a rifle by the barrel. The statue is supported by the representation of a tree trunk and stands on a grey granite column. The memorial is enclosed by an ornate wrought iron fence with wooden posts. There is a metal flagpole in the north west corner of the enclosure.
