The memorial is a granite obelisk. The top shaft is rusticated granite, below this a white unpolished cap, beneath this again is a polished grey granite column bearing the names and at the bottom is a white unpolished block on a two-stepped base. It is surrounded by a steel pipe and mesh fence.

Note on Percy William Geraty:
He was killed in France on 23 December 1916. A
memorial service was held for him at Bimbi on Sunday 11 February 19171
