The chipped marble aggregate and concrete monument has a white marble section and, on its east side, a white marble and concrete shelf on which is a bronze plaque. The whole is set on a triangular shaped 2-stepped concrete base. It is placed adjacent to "the Bomber", Broken Hill's World War I memorial.
The memorial was commissioned and part-financed by the RSL at a cost of $6,000.
