Three curving concrete walls on different levels form the memorial with a mosaic path leading down to a mosaic pavement in a circle between the two lower walls. There are inscriptions on the upper and lower walls and the middle wall can be used as a seat.   The mosaic is by David Humphries and the artist has signed and dated the work 1999. There are two flagpoles on the north-west side and a garden bed borders the lower section.

The Royal Netherlands and East Indies Forces Memorial commemorates the unique
partnership forged between service personnel of Australia and the Netherlands
in the defence of the Netherlands East Indies and Australia during World War II.
